The Law Society's President, Cassandra Banks, will sit down with The Honourable Justice Julie Ward to celebrate and reflect on the achievements of women in the legal profession in a special event for this year's International Women's Day on 8 March.

A true pioneer, Justice Ward has achieved many groundbreaking milestones throughout her career and paved the way for future generations of practitioners. Prior to her appointment as President of the Court of Appeal early last year, her career highlights included being the youngest female partner appointed at Mallesons in 1988 and, in September 2008, the first female solicitor directly appointed to the Supreme Court bench.
